What exactly is modern Indigenous music? For some it means incoporating traditional instruments alongside electric guitars and synthesizers, for others it is a heavy 808 filled hip-hop beat with high velocity raps inspired by life in the village. One thing is for certain, getting to watch so many talented musicians in one place was insane. Capturing this eclectic array of musicians was a task we happily excepted and were truly honored to be a part of such a rocking event. It is so cool to see organizations like Tlingit & Haida and the JAHC supporting these types of events in Alaska’s Capital city.
